The main body of the laptop is magnesium alloy though the underside is plastic so not made from a single block like some of the the Apple machines. It feels silky and high quality inside though there is some flexibility in the lid. The keyboard is very good but the mousepad buttons are a little too stiff for my liking. The Blu-ray combo drive is quite noisy when initially accessing discs but quietness down when you start watching a movie. The highlight of the laptop has to be the dual-lamp full HD 1080p screen, this 16.4 inch has the same resolution as a 50 inch plasma screen! The black areas are amazing with minimal light leakage which makes photos and movies look very vivid with excellent contrast. horizontal viewing angles are great, vertical ones less so but very acceptable. Absolutely brilliant machine very easy to use and it looks fab!!!
